The center empowers some of MIT’s most-talented researchers to make a difference in the world by developing innovative technologies in the lab and bringing them to the marketplace in the form of breakthrough products and new companies.

The Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT is a community hub for students, alumni and faculty who seek to accelerate social and economic progress through innovation-driven entrepreneurship.

Using MIT’s “mens et manus” (mind and hand) approach of education for practical application, MIx enables mission-driven organizations and dual-use ventures to better address the world’s greatest challenges through innovation.

I-Corps nurtures and sustains a national innovation ecosystem that builds upon fundamental research to guide the output of discoveries closer to the development of technologies, products, services, and processes that benefit society.

The Office of Innovation is a team of data-obsessed problem-solvers who support the process of innovation—from idea through impact. Through our stewardship of iHQ, we engage & inspire the community that designs, builds, and executes the next generation of world-changing discoveries at MIT.

Sandbox Innovation Fund Program provides meaningful seed funding for student-initiated ideas, mentoring from within MIT and from a broad network of committed partners, and tailored educational experiences

VMS is a free and confidential mentoring service for entrepreneurs in the MIT community. We connect entrepreneurs with teams of carefully selected mentors and other services to help turn their ideas into for-profit, for-benefit, or non-profit ventures.

Voxel Lab is a music and arts innovation maker space. This student- and community-run lab offers space and tools for creative work in music, photography, textiles, fashion, and other digital arts.

SVS builds community among the student organizations within MIT’s I&E ecosystem—providing a dedicated space for student innovators to meet, host events, collaborate, model inclusive innovation, solve important problems, and be the unified student voice of MIT’s I&E community.
